Wow - drama queen much?

It's early days and so much is still changing - they haven't even started balancing numbers and CD's yet, so I don't think the sky is falling attitude is needed quite yet.   Blizzard have certainly made mistakes in the past (Druid tanking has never been interesting - spamming 2 buttons or a macro is boring), but they do seem to learn from them somewhat and keep improving things.  Most of what I have been reading & seeing has me keener than ever for Cataclysm.

Why is this soundign soo much like last redo on druids. We got F$%& !! I dont care what anyone says. Tanking sudenlly got foul. No tanking gear, changes to way we tanked. I see bliz doing the same thing only worse. Look they want DK tanks now so there going to take away druid tankin. Bliz has desided how they want ppl to play there chars so they maek it so. I was lookin forward to cat. Now iam lookin for a new game. One thing i loved about this game was you could play as YOU wanted. Not bliz way or how someone else thinks u should play.

I recently found this addon:

Nug Combo Bar
http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info6308-NugComboBar.html

I don't like to use 1 addon for feral dps, so this addon is nice if you need your combo points to stand alone from other addons. Also you can increase the combo point bar in size, change the colours of the dots seperately and you can also choose another shape. Enjoy!

Pretty sure that at least one of the previous expansions was aiming for pre-Xmas but drifted back to about Feb or so.   While i'm sure they would prefer pre-Xmas, Blizzard has a pretty good "when it's ready" policy which I hope they adhere to, even if I have to wait a few more months.

Was thinking 6th anniversary of WoW would be good date to launch new expansion but they have still a lot work, class balancing and raid instance tests so lots to do in 2,5month but guess blizz will do everything they can to push release before X-mas. Im still expecting big patches mostly focused on balancing classes after release Wink.

You may want to read this:

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=26399160038&postId=263963145449&sid=2000#16

Anyway, for the moment the feral druid status can only be defined as "not even started looking into it".  The changes have been mostly random and have not really advanced things.  Cat DPS is same-ish, with less critical SR uptime, tank TPS has a couple buttons more, which are probably useless after the latest "mangle without CD" change (which has also made Berserk mostly useless for bears).

This discussion made me wonder about timing of the expansion.  It sounds as though the expansion release is farther off than I thought.  Any thoughts?

After the some pictures from my log analyzer, here is the code (source and a windows executable if you're not running linux, I hope it works ok).

Read the readme file before downloading.  If you're on linux or plan to rebuild the executable yourself you only need the src.tar.gz, otherwise you will need both the winexe.zip and the required DLLs (which is big).  If you already have Qt4.6 installed you don't need the libraries.

The usage should be quite straightforward, but as with all alpha releases you should expect trouble.  And, as indicated in the readme: don't believe too much what it displays and if you spot errors, let me know.  Unfortunately parameters are hardwired, but it should not affect too much the analysis.

In any case report any problem you have and in case you find a log which crashes the code, try to reduce it to the smallest size possible, because I'll be interested in seeing it Smiley

You're assuming a lot about my tone that wasn't there.

Apologies if my message sounded harsh, it was not my intention.  I should have added a Smiley at the end.

Also, the warrior AE is attached to Thunderclap, which is on a 6 second timer, so you can run around dropping those little AE spots everytime thunderclap comes up. Unless they've changed something very recently.

Honestly I don't believe much in what is ingame at this time.  Until testing starts with raid instance bosses and lvl 85 characters, the tuning of tank abilities will not take place, and rigtly so.  I'd be very surprised to see them use the dungeons as a tanking benchmark.  I remember TClap applying the attack speed debuff, and I'll check again as soon as I manage to login without crashing to desktop 10 seconds later..... BTW what I indicated above is the current objective they have for tanking mechanics (which may very well change next week, of course).

I also don't believe a thing about the current cat status, energy costs and aura durations in particular, this is why I find any analysis which popped up on various blogs/forums to be premature and, in the end, useless.

Yes, it's the end of the world and we'll all die.
