Hi Emmerald - I've used your feral gear guides as a bible for the past year. Just wondering when/if you're planning to update with WotLK info? Also, as it seems Defense appears to be no longer needed for feral tanks (due to the new talents), it seems that there will be a lot of changes to the geaer listings... Anyway, thank you for all the help your lists have been to me - I'm lost without them! Emmerald: I will, I just have a lot on my plate atm. You know, RL.

None of the trinkets have been fixed yet. It will be some time before they are done as each one has to be looked at individually to calculate the value of procs etc.
For now, while the lists are in beta form only, please just ignore trinkets that are not calculated correctly or not in the list - they will either be fixed just before the lists are ready for release or just after.

RareBeast: What are you trying to tell me? That I can out-tank & out-DPS them all? Druid Trainer: No RareBeast. I'm trying to tell you that when you have read the Feral Druid Numbers thread, you won't have to. 9x 80's and counting

The 90 agility Darkmoon Card: Greatness is wrongly evaluated. Only the 90 agility is counted. For a tank with agility as highest stat it will give at best a 33% uptime on the 300 agility procc. With the procc rounded down to 30% uptime this trinket should give an average of 180 agility which counts out to 433,728 Mitigation points and 147,06 DPS Points

/sigh...... Please read the post immediately above yours The Trinkets page is not done. All the procs have to be hand evaluated and adjusted unlike the rest of the lists which are just auto-parsed by Emmerald's script. The trinkets page will be updated sometime in the near future.

Are the rankings on Emmerald's Beta list for tanking weapons correct based on 3.0.8 patch changes? I am curious if the list still values the armor on weapons by basing using the multiplier. For example, Staff of the Plague Beast is still better in relation to the Undeath Carrier? I was thinking the additional Stam and Agility would be more valuable than 630 armor post patch?
Just wondering... Thanks for the replies.

I see Amani Divining Staff is having a better rating for tanking than wildfury greatstaff. I don't understand why !?

With the new gems available, the Amani Divining Staff can be socketted with 3 Solid Sky Sapphire for a total of 63 extra stamina... that's what the "RYB [BBB]" means.
If you don't socket it, or don't plan on putting WotLK gems in a pre-WotLK staff then you should look at the "[base: 196.5]" in the first column.
In short, with the expansion the presence of sockets in older items has massively increased their value - but only if you use new gems.
The same thing will happen when another expansion comes along (if ever), the Golden Staff of the Sin'dorei will jump higher up the list because it has sockets.

Well quite frankly all caster items should be removed from the list, it would make it easier to read and would prevent greedy ferals to get caster items just because they appear here ! I doubt anyone who has access to sky saphirres will socket that kind of staff with them !

Maybe just grey out items where more than half of the point contribution is from sockets.

Surely we are all smart enough to work that out without asking Emmerald to do more work!
