OR you could just farm some gold in that time and spend the money on Coilfang Armaments Grin

Lol, now you know what my typical day was like farming CE rep -- daily quests for gold, buy armaments on the AH with it via my mule, then head to SV and grind slaves for a bit. Rinse and repeat.  Tongue

wow okay... you are dedicated. I usually can't stand to do more than 3 or 4 daily quests. Undecided
can't you just ran slave pens heroic? you can finish it REALLY fast (personal record was 37 minutes, pre T5 equip Shocked) or annoyingly slow depending on your group and equip though.

Mostly I did this during the day when taking a break from work (actually, there was a group of guildies that would do all the dailies with our morning coffee while chatting over TS -- that was nice). As the GM I tended to spend non-raid evenings (when there can be enough to get a 5-man together) helping folks out with Kara attunement and the like. That meant some SV runs, of course, but a lot of other stuff too. Mostly, I did the above for the last 5000 of CE rep to exalted, iirc.

In general, the Arena gear has some really good tanking stats (stam, high armor, agi).  The season 3 pieces are generally great upgrades.  I see that you're in some arena teams.  That's good.  They're still at 1500 points, so it looks like they're not active.  That's not good.  It only takes 30-45 minutes to get some 5v5 games each week.
OK, I can see that there's no way I can avoid PvP... I tried to since I can't hardly spare the time to do so, but if it is worth it, I'll do  Wink
You can easily upgrade your shoulders, chest, and belt through PvP/Arena.  The best cape available is through badge turn-ins.  You've got the badge helm, neck, and bracers, so the cape is probably your next big upgrade.  If you have 10 free badges, [Idol of Terror] is pretty good.  Though, it mainly adds avoidance to your tanking outfit which probably isn't as significant as upgrading your cape.
OK. I now have an improving scheme that I can apply. Thanks a lot  Smiley

Of course, you can efficiently plan your upgrades by using Rawr so that you get the best bang for the buck.
I don't know Rawr, I'll make a search...
If you are struggling on High King Maulgar, you can try bringing some extra healers to the encounter.  It is somewhat of an endurance match when you under-gear the encounter.  Your DPS needs to focus-fire down the adds, but there is lots of raid damage being taken.  Extra healers help to keep the dps up through the bursty periods.  If you have 23+ people alive by the time all the adds are down, you are almost guaranteed a win.
We got him, it's the next one (Gruul) that causes problem. Seems that we do not master the way to stay around him. There may well be too many CaCs around him, we should make a group with more casters I suppose...

Thanks a lot for the advice!

Rawr is a great tool for picking customized tanking outfits.  It does a lot of the hard work for you.  There is some information on the druid wiki here http://druid.wikispaces.com/Rawr.

As far as Gruul goes, the first thing the raid needs to learn is to spread out for the shatter.  Tanks should feral charge/intercept/run back to the center (you can do this mid flight).  All other classes need to get away from the tanks and from one another.  In general, running towards the outer edge works best.  Running with a lot of damage-over-time classes makes it easier as damage continues during silences and ground slams, but it's not necessary.  Heal-over-time spells are great here as it helps mitigate some of the dangers from the aoe silence and ground slam.

After that, people need to learn how to get out of the cave ins.  Melee classes have a hard time, but a few seconds of readjusting with no dps is better than a dead player.  Once people master both the shatters and cave-ins, it is a matter of doing enough damage to Gruul before he grows to the point of 1-shotting the tank.

This is an "are you awake" raid check.  Dps classes need to be aware of their surroundings.  Don't stand in a cave-in, stay away from others, stay alive, etc.  Healers need to react similarly and move when necessary.

After our last successful Gruul raid, I used my damage meter (recap) to check how much damage people took from the cave ins.   It was a good way to highlight who needed to improve without having to point blame (after all we had just won the fight).

One person in particular, a new feral druid,  was a bit embarassed as he took over 40k damage for cave-ins, but everyone will be paying extra attention next week to reduce their cave-in damage - call it topping the DPS-in chart Smiley

Druid Trainer: No RareBeast. I'm trying to tell you that when you have read the Feral Druid Numbers thread, you won't have to.

Here is my armory profile Armory page.
Its correct besides the pants which should be heavy clefthoof still (Sometimes outfitter can be a pain).

My question is that I sit in a wierd place between the two sets.
I am above 415 defense (although I could go less I forget about my resilience) and I should re-gem my stuff.
My dodge raidbuffed is ~40%
my HP is about 18k
my armor is 28k

Which gear list am I looking at as of now I have most of my kara gear and I will be moving on to SSC soon. ( I'm going to keep running kara for badges/T4 hat)
Any other suggestions on where to go from here. I'm sitting on 10 badges or so and I have finally started to do some arena. But I really don't on counting on it for gear.

Head : Stag-Helm of Malorne with powerful Earthstorm diamond
Shoulders : Mantle of Malorne (Maulgar) - or Shoulderpads of the stranger (Hydross)
Wrists : Band of the swift paw (35 badges)
Waist: Waistguard of the great beast (60 badges)
Legs : Greaves of Malorne (Gruul) - or Skulkers'Greaves

Gem the yellow slots with 6STA/4RES (4AGI/4HIT on the Vest), The blue ones with 12 STA or 4AGI/6STA, the red ones with 8AGI or 4AGI/6STA
Put a Nethercleft leg armor on your Greaves

It gives you 32.5k armor, 14k HP unbuffed and 68.1 Dodge (28.8k armor, 13.6k HP unbuffed with the Shoulderpads+Skulker and 70.6 Dodge)
That makes 34.3k and 19k buffed (30.6k and 18.5k)

Otherwise, play with Rawr... It's great fun  Grin

I would go with 6Sta/4Def gems. Granted, they give you less crit immunity, but if you are over the cap def isn't wasted (since it gives dodge, too) unlike with resilience. Grin

Simple said: Def > Resi. Wink
You get more -crit from the same amount of Resi, but you also get dodge+miss from Def. And if you invest the free budget you get with Resi to get more Agi you will end up with less dodge than dodge+miss you would get from Def.

So: Just don't socket Resi unless you get the +10 Resi gem from Halaa. ^^

Yeah some Def points were missing... and 4Res gives you roughly 6 Def so... 6STA/6Def if you only look at the Crit cap. If you're over it, replace Res by Def (of course Def is better than Res  Wink )

It raises a question though... given you have 3 yellow slots  and you are 12 points short in Def, is 6STA/4Res x2, 4AGI/4Hit better than 6STA/4Def x3 ?

Looks like it isn't... so don't bother and put 6STA/4Def in your yellow slots to make you uncrittable, then 4AGI/4Hit

Hi,

please see my armory link  : http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Skullcrusher&n=Tinuviel
the gear is correct but the stat are strangely enough a bit off : HP should be 14K with MOTW and dodge is 38,50%, Armor = 30K
Our guild is currently doing Kara (on farm) and starting Zul'aman. I kan MT prince and Nightbane without problems. Zul'Aman, especially the lynx boss is another story Smiley
I have a good idea on what to upgrade : T4 gauntles, and the MG shoulders and chest (VG is too difficult for me to get the rating). I would also consider the Neclace and ring for Heroic Badges though they are minor upgrade.

Now my main question : should I aim generaly speaking for more dodge or more HP ?

Thanks,

Tinuviel

sorry for some reason my post got cut off but i was going to say that yuo seem fine on dodge for your progression state. you should try to get the ring and neck from badges as they are some of the best in game. your health is what u need to work at. go for s3 chest piece whoich is only about 1 week more points than s2. itll give you the stam you need plus other stats very vauluable. i believ it is bnetter than t4 but that is only my opinion.

Ok, thanks. I forgot about some S3 pieces not being rank connected  Tongue
I'll also start switching some pure AGI gems with more AGI/STA gems. That and the new gear should get me going.

I noticed on you armory link there's almost no +HIT. Should I neglect this completely for the time being ?
As i read +hit helps to land a growl, I'm just afraid of missing it sometimes (thinking about the Nalorakk fight in ZA specifically   Roll Eyes )
